no, we leave them open so that other members' can provide feedback on the applicant. closing it would defeat the purpose.

But look. There are lots of people here posting good luck and things like that just to raise his posts and to seem like they are more active on the forum ...

i dont think that a lot of people post good luck to raise his posts and to seem like they are more active..they say it because they want to support him

And to make them feel welcome to the forums, and possibly to the clan if he/she is accepted

Also, I feel we need to get to know new members, including applicants who may be members in the near future, better than we are now. Take soul for example, I chose not to get to know him for a while, then when I finally got around to chatting with him he was very entertaining to talk with and I regretted not making an effort to communicate with him sooner. And coming into the clan with nobody talking to you doesn't exactly make it easy for you to settle in, we have to welcome our members and make them feel like part of the group
