[S.T.A.L.K.E.R.]

Hey all!
I am a total newbie to WF ... but my ign is the same{S.T.A.L.K.E.R.}. I often play on UK1 server.
If someone could explain me a little bit more about admin and kicking function, that would be kind.

I figured that's what this post would come to.

Wildfire is invite-only, so you have to prove yourself ingame to get invited.

you just busted urself.. the first thing u ask about is how the admin is working, keep up the good work, I'm 100% sure u wont get invited if ur only thinking about the admin

Okay ... than cya ingame on UK1 server to see if I am "good" enough to be invited . And semph... that is the only thing I am noz familiar with in CS:S! peace

it sounds logic to me(exc. noz=not). That sentence was an answer to previous message. What I was trying to tell is, that I am interested in admin SYSTEM, how it works etc.. I hope i made things clear xD

Admin :
"Powers" or just rcon/console commands. You can install many "admin mods" so you can see a pop up window in the game by writing "admin" in console. These are for making punishments or abusing them(not recommended the last one). The easiest way is to have the "admin mods" installed on the server so it's just to push some buttoms, or the hard way by writing whole commands in console like this: mp_kick #all / ma_give #all weapon_m4a1. Hope this made any sence at all.

My major priority right now is to get into a clan. I didn't said anything about being an admin i am just interested how it works. TheJester thanks very much for explaining me some things:). Looks like some ppl are focused only in one thing, disobaying the others ...

Source engine search the addons folder for addon file and injects it to the server system, registeres the console and say commands and adds event checks. One example of the "event" is "player_join" (When player joins the server.)
When player joins, hes steamid will be checked (for crack) and activated (cant play 2 servers sametime). The server uses the steamid to check if hes banned, and admin plugin checks if he is in the admin list (for admin private talk).

For example, lets think that Jack runs "ma_kick teamkill4life" command in the Breakfloor server. The Adminplugin checks, is Jack admin. If yes, he checks can he run the ma_kick command. If he is allowed, the server searchs all the server players with a term "teamkill4life" in the name and lists them and gets their steamids. After all parsing and searching is done, Adminplugin runs "kickid" server command for each of them and outputs the kick confirm to admin and announcement to all players.

Mani Admin Plugin could use other ways too, Mani has given the sourcecode only to sourcemod leader. It probaly won't be never public.
