wow, tiroshii, you really are dense aren't you.

Square rooting - the opposite of squaring.
2 squared = 4.
The square root of 4 = 2.

As previously explained, factorial is the multiplication of all integers less than or equal to the one the factorial is applied to.
i.e. 7! = 7*6*5*4*3*2*1 = 5040.

I mean, come on, even if you haven't been taught it (which for at least the square root I do not believe for a microsecond), a quick Google search would explain.

Finally, if you look at the posts in the thread you see we're counting to 100. Just like you would by adding 1 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8...100) we go through each number individually to reach 100. Quite simple, no?

I seriously think we should give each member an IQ test to weed out the mentally retarded in this clan I swear.

factorial, the symbol !, is multiplying every positive integer lower than the number you start with (including that number)

5! = 5*4*3*2*1 = 120

Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot what square root was, but I don't know what 'multiplication of all integers less than or equal to the one the factorial is applied to' is supposed to mean..

Eagleye went to 25..

Maths has always been my families downside. However, I don't appreciate you calling me mentally retarded, having an IQ of 113.

Eagleye went to 25 because (gasp) numbers 1 to 24 were done already!

The mentally retarded comment wasn't just aimed at you, though.

If you are supposed to make them add up to 100, why did he make them add up to 25?

and i think you can't square cause squareing is just puting somthing to the power of 2, thus useing the 2. squareing would give you annother 2.

Whats square rooting then?

:P

And how can you get 113 in a "real" IQ test if you don't know maths too well...?

raising to the power of 1/2... but that's besides the point :P

It's very contradictory that we are allowed to square root without using a number, but we can't square.

It would make more sense if we had to do 2root9 as sqrt9. We could also do 6root7 or anything along that line (not like you could use that though)

That would correspond with the 6^2 and such we have been doing.

when jack explains things it makes me not get how to do things i already know lol

ok so when u squar somthing you just multiply ti by its self so 6 squared is the same thing as 6 * 6

and square rooting something is figuring out what times its self equals that number like the square root of 144 is 12 because 12 times 12 is 144 there i think that might help

there's todays miny math class

Err.. I wasn't asked to do a square root..?

That's pretty much all I struggle with. All the more complex stuff is easy, it's just the basics that..

The more complex stuff? Aren't IQ tests more about finding patterns than learning complex principles.

Yes, I was simply stating that my mathematical ability is deformed from the basic lower level stuff due to bad teaching. The higher stuff which I got a friend to teach me is fine.
