I know I've made this suggestion before, but I really think that wildfire could use a regular maps server. I also realize that we could use one of the us/uk 4 servers if we want to play regular maps, but they're marked private to everyone who finds them via steam, and they're never used. Right now, I don't have a good server to play regular cs on. I would like this idea to at least see the light of day, and to give people a chance to give feedback on the idea of a regular maps server. At the very least, I think we could switch over the name of US4 to public, and we could still close it off if we need to use it for private matches/tryouts. To me, at least, it would be of better use if it were actually being used.

Please, hear this idea out and don't just instantly close the thread, I like regular maps just as much as BF, and I think it'd be good to know if the rest of the clan feels the same way.

There's no reason we shouldn't be able to have a server that uses regular maps

I suggest changing UK2 to regular map cycle. Especially since it will condense the breakfloor population into UK1, so it will be a more full server usually.

I would support this for US2 or US4 as well. I think the same logic could be applied to the US servers, which are used, but never entirely full.

I too agree, the US/UK? 4 servers are empty 90% of the time, the only time they are used is during scrims which isn't very often, during the time they aren't running scrims they should be public and have a normal server rotation, you could always have the server name change from public to private with the new server system that's being made or something.

The one we currently have is labeled as a private server in the steam listing. Also, as far as maps go, I'd love to have a dust/dust2/office/prodigy/cbble type rotation.

UK & US4 are assorted maps.

They may say "Private" but they are public servers and if you play people will come.

If they're public, can't we get a change in the nomenclature? They can still be locked when needed, but I want people to feel welcome. I'd like it if people were there when I wanted to play, like on breakfloor servers, not just if I get some people together and decide to wait around for a while for a game to develop.

Holy crap, it's JaZ?! Anyway, I think we could use 1 or 2 or just rename 4. It doesn't really matter to me. I'd be happier to have one regular map rotation server than 2 breakfloor servers.

I think we should convert a US server being as (I believe) a majority of people posting in this thread are from US squads. The whole ordeal would be for naught if it was a UK server.

I suggest taking US 4 and putting on a name like "[WF] Server Dust2/Office/Italy [XX tick]" or whatever maps you want.

Why not close the server when you want to use it? as of right now I rarely see people in it, and supposedly it is a public server, whatever the name is.

i dislike the idea of converting an existing server, if we got a new one, i;m all for it. i like those fun little 2v2 games :) it starts getting annoying with more than 8 people on a server :(
