The surf servers have been neglected lately. I have been very busy, but finnally set a day up (today) to get them running the way they should be. They are now running CSS:RPG 1.5 Mod and have over 100 new maps.

The RPG has been reset when I updated the version of RPG, but you now have new skills. Hopefully this reset will also get new players in.
The RPG has not been reset, I have found a way to update to 1.5 without a reset

If you are worried about having to download all the maps on the slow CSS engine. Have no fear, I have hosted all of the maps that are on the server on a web server. This means your downloads of the maps is uncapped, and a lot faster.

The surf map pack is now available at

for anyone who wishes to download them all, in the archive, they are only 113mb

Dave, this is a minor thing, but the front home page of wildfire isn't updating the news like it used to. You might be aware of this already, but just letting you know

Now would be a good time to start playing surf. We have an UK server and an US server that are available with the same configurations. I might even try again to get the CSS:RPG database into a global one. So your level would be on both servers.

Thanks for reminding me too. With the deathmatch mod on it never changes maps. I need to find how to work around that time limit. -.-

Nice job on updates wasti. btw are those maps from the surf pack i sent a while back?Also can i ask are you goingahve sounds played when someone gets a message like how the voice says headshot, godlike, etc?

The quake sounds will be back if you have them enabled. I honestly forget how to do that though. I will look into is.

In my first post I stated that RPG would be reset. I looked into this more and found out that the data base will be able to support the new version of rpg mod with little modification. I have the old rpg levels on US 5 working, and am working on UK 5 right now.

Basically, you will retain your level and skill that have been purchased already, there are 2 new skills to buy now. Impules and Medic.

Havn't gotten the Global rpg db working yet though. so it will still be per server.

So far, US 5 is done, and I am finishing UK5 now.

It doesnt take skill to surf high. just strafe against wall d/\a and use mouse to look where your going. Mostly look left and right to go up and down.
