Due to these servers are not always in use we have a priority list for them:
1. Matches
2. Standard Maps
3. Custom Maps
So in normal circumstances if someone wanted to play a match then the server would be given to them to use for that period, otherwise a standard (CAL) map cycle runs.
Now in the event a custom map wants to be ran then a Col can do this.
An update that is coming soon is a feature for Cols to upload maps to the private servers via the Admin CP.

I was wondering if anybody wanted to start working on a new map, or improving somebody else's?

We are currently working on a new feature that will be added to the wildfire admin control panel. It will allow you to upload any map you want to the cs:s server and then you can book a slot for the map.
So let's say there are 3 people. Now a slot would last 30 minutes. So I say well I want to play de_dust2 at 1:00, so I would book the 1:00 slot, then someone could book the 1:30 slot, if no one does then the dust2 would roll over to the next slot until a booked slot if come across.
We will also be looking into adding to each slot the option to turn on and off mods, i.e. let's say you want the GunGame mod, you could turn it on and it would stay on until your slot period is over.
Now this is the idea, and if you like it we can sure get it online within 7 days. I would effectively allow everyone to try maps and mods.
Clan Matches
Ok so yes what about clan matches. Well this is where the system gets useful, if you want to book a clan match then I think a COL could book upto 4 time slots all next to each other (2 hours), get the server password to come on during that period and disable admin for everyone below Col during the match. Again all these ideas can be worked on.
So what do you think?

As I said this new system will allow all members to upload whatever maps they want, and get the server to change to that map during the time period you booked. So do it yourself when the new system comes online
Deathmatch Mod - URL Not Needed
GunGame Mod - URL Not Needed
Zombie Mod - URL Needed
Other decisions that need to be made is what configurations can be enabled/disabled. Such as:
Surf Options
Low Grav Options
War Mod Options
So make sure you post all your ideas now, otherwise it won't be there

OFFTOPIC
This reminds me of the following: I got problems with CSS for some weeks now. I can play maps like BF and twotowers with no problem at all. But other maps like de_dust2 are causing problems. Usually it turns out so bad, that I have to shut down my computer. Does somebody know what the problem could be and what I must do to play all maps normally again without having errors or problems?
