You're mixing yourself up entirely here. The original definition of the word prerogative is:

Quote

An exclusive legal right given from a government or state and invested in an individual or group, the content of which is separate from the body of rights enjoyed under the general law of the normative state. It was a common facet of Feudal law.
The dictionary examples and definitions that you and I have cited, are now modified to allow you to use it in a different context, as I have done. For example:

"...if wasti wants to believe that he has a higher IQ than six and a half billion people, then that is his exclusive right"

That sentence is entirely correct in every sense. It is also entirely correct if you replace the phrase "exclusive right" with the word "prerogative" as both my Dictionary example, along with yours show.

In this case, the sentence would have been been better off without the starting conjunctive.

Once again, I refer you what I have posted previously:

Wrong. There is absolutely no reason why a sentence cannot be started with a conjunction (most particularly within the context of a discussion ie, a forum, story or dialogue). Its down to personal preference and is certainly not impressed upon within the guidelines of any national curriculum.
.

However, if you still feel that you wish to continue down the road of being a failed pedant, then I would like to highlight just a few of your own errors:

not to mention this attempt at a "sentence"

Aye, you're that smart that you're getting someone else to lose arguments for you. Its best you stick to the shallow end, especially considering you can't even remember what age you are:

Ooops that'll teach me not to review what I typed lol.

Leaving the grammatical sillies aside, I still stand by my original comment.
"A Prerogative is a legal right belonging to a group. The reason people now say "my prerogative" or "your prerogative" is due to Bobby Brown."
Was going to make a point here but got sidetracked and forgot what it was.

I suppose its like saying "owned", we all know what it means and would take "You got owned!" to be perfectly acceptable but when you look at the definition of owned that sentence certainly doesn't make sense.

If we are going to be petty about previous posts, this is a nice little chestnut.

Leaving aside the text speak, which you've insulted me by using >.<, you've said

Yet, for some reason you combined both, beats me :D. This is beyond the bounds of being pedantic, this is just plan anal!

Your reference to the national curriculum, coming from a teaching family and background, I can say that it is impressed on children not to start sentences with conjunctives, however it has been some time since I've read that particular section of the literacy strat. so I may well be outdated.

I think we've probably reached a stage where neither of us will back down regardless, and it is probably better to stop being so sad and agree to disagree. :)
I'm only making an effort because you have Moon!
Shouldn't a student such as yourself be out with his friends causing havoc on a Saturday night anyway? :D

No money. I bought a new PC about 6 months ago and the bill came in just after Christmas and it ate my student loan in one go. I'm pretty much stuck in until the end of this month :(
