I wanted to start a thread about WoW, opinions are welcome, no trolls allowed says Blaze.

Let's be honest here, I'm addicted to it, I'm wondering if anyone else plays it here, like a general discussion about WoW and Cataclysm.

So don't be shy, if you play it, even if you're not too hardcore, just tell us, and those who don't play it, share your opinion.

I play on Darksorrow Horde and I enjoy ganking Planzor 24/7 (he always rages). I also love frost mages.
Personally I think that Cataclysm is going to be a great expansion overall, just don't like few minor things.

Anyway I played as a resto shaman untill a week ago when I got a new job that made me unable to raid due to odd hours

Got my ICC 25-man Glory, and that was my goal so I'm satisfied, and in all honesty I could use a break from WoW.

Cata looks awesome, and I'd like to play it. However I got a good job that requires me to work at raiding times, so no cata for me most likely

I have never, ever, seen the boots drop of Dreamwhisper. I'm certain they're non existent (...)

as for your boots, why would you want deathwhisper ones? they are pretty bad, earthsoul boots are BiS sort of as they are mail so you get that 5% intellect boost, and they have haste, which the deathwhisper ones don't.

so you should just get earthsoul boots, the BoE ones, since they give haste and are mail, cloth is bad to have now since you lose 5% intellect. :P


but yeah, if you're not gonna raid in cata, you should definitely just go casual, you shouldn't miss it, seems too awesome to miss. >:D

Dad and brother play WoW. I quit years back in 2006 /w a level 54 Hunter .

Looking at my dads stuff... interesting, he's looted over 20,000 gold from mobs, has a highest hit of 1100000, 7895 achievement points. And, not surprisingly: Total damage done - 6174972066.

All looks so high to me, being a noob and all .

I fully realize that I'm missing out of the 5% intellect, hence my comment on the boots.

However, heroic DW boots > Earth Soul boots.

Purified Lunar dust used to be BiS for restos, it might have changed since patch 4.0. After I stopped raiding, I stopped caring

On a side note, I was just about to get my second HC mark

haste > spirit, especially when you've only got 1246 haste with your current haste boosts, those DW boots have no haste so you'd go under haste cap.

and I hope you upgraded those legs before the patch, because upgrading something without haste rather than upgrading something with haste is unusual ;P

that trinket was never BiS, it proc'd once in a blue moon, and with the new patch, you're hardly ever going to go oom so it's worthless, but since cata is coming, /care about gear :p

I used to be haste capped, and according to my calculations I would've been with the boots. I changed a bit here and there after I stopped caring, so thats propably put me under.

Lunar has a decent proc rate, and mana was actually a concern on some fights, e.g. PP on HC, so it was nice with the Mp5 it gave.

And for the record, I do know haste > all

Agreed. If I had to choose an all-time best game it would have to be World of Warcraft.

- Keeps evolving/improving. I mean the whole world is changing for once, in what other game do you see the whole world being destroyed and build anew?
- Balanced (To a certain point, naturally there will always be fotm, and slight OPs here and there). But imo Blizzard have worked wonders with the balance of the game. There's not outright broken stuff, (Sub + Arms being the possible exception, but 2/30 is acceptable imo. What I'm trying to point out is that all 10 classes perform within 5% +/- of each other, which is pretty impressive. The constant patches & tweaking just goes to show how much effort they put into it.

They're not comparable. At least not in my point of view.

Different maps, is propably the same as different raids/instances, and/or battlegrounds.

The only truly different from standard CS:S is zombie, but it's a small mod, and (imo) does not change as much as swapping from pvp to pve does.

During that time, i had alot of fun and epic adventures.

My char was pretty much a holy paladin, human.
