i had an idea a while ago, about WF.
i dont know how it would be done but like, have divisions of fighting forces within the clan.
so the best fighters would go in say, the Gurkhas..
so it would be something like [WF] GK Lt. Planzor or whatever..
and then there would be other divisions for stuff like officers and less able players but still good ones like a B team.. but in major matches we put out the GK's and have like other named regiments for different things, its quite like the numbering, but it gives something really to aim for in the clan like, to be part of the gurkhas or whatever at the top..

so basically the regiments are not divided into how long youve been in the clan, or how active you are, but by how skilled you are, so Pvts can be part of this elite force and so on..

maybe its a silly idea just thought i liked it maybe it can be looked into ?

It's an interesting idea, but thinking of things like that just isn't our top priority right now :)

Hey maverick, and good idea and one which had been similarly done before. We used to have squads and quite afew at that, comprising of a Col./Maj./Lt./ . biggest thing atm is boosting our member and getting everyone to be apart of the clan. The council decided to remove the squads for the time being til number grow a little and then we'll see.

Oh it is! Regiments is a unique and interesting concept, we like the idea.

We simply don't have time for it however as our main focus is bettering the clan as a whole (activity and things like that), once we have accomplished that we will sit down and look at things like this. We just need to have a stable, active clan before we can start adding things like regiments :)

Maybe there should be one or two persons from the council take their responsibility for the squads ? Like there are people who take care for recruitment.

And before we start thinking of such things, we should increase in numbers.

Because back when we had REAL squads, we had over 100 members. At the moment I believe we have around half that, correct me if i'm wrong.

I still think a 50 man clan is still pretty large..

And who judges how good people are?

I think many people would get pissed if someone judges their skill 'wrong', or let me say, wrong in their eyes.

I stand with Killerace on this. Dividing people up into groups based on skill is not a good idea imo.

While regiments/squad are good, judging by skill would most likely piss more people of than it would do good.

We just got rid of squads a few months ago.......again. There were good reasons for it, so I doubt we will get them back soon.

Hm I think judging by skill is okay if the council decides whether someone is good enough to be at that rank.
Or, there could be 5-6 leaders of a squad that can decide who joins their group. These leaders can be chosen via a poll ?

I think having squads based on skill is a bad idea, but regiments or whatever we would call them could be people who choose to have their skill judged and do clan matches. They would be members from different squads in a special group based solely on skill level, while the squads themselves would be based on activity and things like that.

I like squads, I think it creates a certain flow within the clan. However I think a rank should be based on several things and not just on skill solely. Activity, maturity, how beneficial the person is to the clan, skill could play a role aswell and many more factors should play in.

very bad idea. We tried this many times, it always failed.

Also, if you want to play matches....there are 4-5 people in this clan who know how to play a match, how to find opponents et cetera. And guess what, these 4-5 people aren't all that active on our servers and they are exactly the persons who tried before. So why should we do this again?

Or what we can do, is just make groups without a rank init. So for example; [WF][GroupName]Killerace
& then we put like 5-6 people in one group & if possible organise clanmatches like Icicle did.
