Just got kicked and banned for no good reason. There was a nice game going on with six or eight people, which was quick paced and fair. No TKing, camping or anything that I'm aware of. Admin may have been Apolloz but I'm unsure. What I do know is that there was NO SENSIBLE REASON WHATSOEVER to kick or ban me.

Cheers,

R@tbert

Hello R@tbert,

Couple of days ago you decided to insult me and then log off the server. Therefor I gave you a 30 minute ban today. It should have worn off by now.

If it is you I insulted, I do appologize, because I do like to see you online. I should not have used an expletive, since you are only effectuating clan rules.

From my perspective: there are three different kinds of games.

  • Those with teamkillers. They not only spoil the game, but also make it hard to play by the rules and leave spawn within 30sec, for the simple reason that I have to prevent them from TKing me.
  • The best games, where game dynamics can evolve, which sometimes means jumping gung-ho into the maelstrom, and sometime means preparing the stage by clearing away whole segments of blocks. The latter obviously takes more than 30 secs, and there are many admins who appreciate these dynamics and do not enforce a 30 sec rule when that would decrease game quality.
  • Sometimes an admin sticks to WildFire rules independently of game dynamics, which means a certain, perfectly reasonable type of game cannot be played.
If a good game is going and I am slayed or kicked for the 30 sec rule, while I am in this sense not at all camping, it is disruptive and frustrating, especially on days otherwise largely dominated by teamkillers.

I put it before this clan that applying the 30 sec rule by-the-book favors only one particular style of gaming and disallows many fair and pleasant alternative dynamics, which do in fact occur depending upon whether there is an admin or who it is. I would suggest to focus on quality-of-experience -- but I accept that that it isn't my place to tell you guys what to do anyway.

Cheers

Appoloz,

I see you haven't replied,

My conslusion is you aren't interested in how WildFire game quality might be improved,
but rather in getting even,
and as an admin you do indeed hold the better card.

I suggest to get off your high horse and cut the sanctimonious censorship.

But feel free to slay or ban me willy nilly if it makes you feel better. You're welcome.

Cheers,

R@tbert

Or the fact that I have a personal life and don't care about what you say? The thing is, I do have a personal life and I can't and won't be serious all the time. I had nothing good to reply so I decided to keep my mouth quiet. And as an admin, I do not hold the better card. Without you guys, all admins would be useless.

And in the future, to avoid conflicts. Keep your suggestions and similar thoughts to yourself unless it will achieve something. It will only cause useless fume. How would you like if I came with the conclusion that you don't give a damn about other people in this world, since you freely insult them whenever you want?

Think about it.
