This is the first topic that should ever be made in a gaming forum. Though made late, it is no less in awesome.

Just like TF2: though it's long after its release, it's still epic win. It blends FPS reflex skill with knowledge of sentry killing/team composition/class specific skills (rocket jumping, scout dodging, spy sneaking) and ridiculous explosive spam everywhere (not my favorite part of a 32 man game). It's most fun when played in a 6 man competition or casual ladder, like the one No Heroes has set up.
I had a hard time choosing from some old RPGs. Mebbe it's just nostalgia/gewd old times that draws me to those

What's yer favorite game evar? Is it a classic, a new release, a *gasp* non-FPS?! Tell me so I can go buy it. :>

In the fear of getting flamed to death I have to say: World of Warcraft. I quitted it some time ago now, but still when I look back, I have absolutely no problem understanding why that game has been such a huge succes, and I admit that I do miss the communities & gameplay from time to time

and @ icicle: ye, I've had some nice times with irl friends in WoW. Especially when I let them die on raids b/c there were so many herbs about to gather xD

Actually, this is pretty relatively, I love the game Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, even though it was released at year 1999. And it is hard to say it is the best game ever when you think of all the other awesome games made later. As the game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, it was also really awesome. And recently released games like Arma2 are simply awesome. But still hard to compare since those games were made in complete different worlds.

The game Super Mario Bros. 3 is still awesome so is the game Bubble Bobble. So it is very hard to for me pick a game to call my favourite. When I have been playing games for 16 years.

Rogue spear was cool, but what I also liked was Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield.

And have you ever played the game 'Vietcong'? It's pretty cool although it's old

Ravenshield was epic.

Ffs, I completely forgot more from Blizzard (<3) Starcraft & Warcraft III. For being such epic games. Especially the balance between factions is extremely good.
