Dave, Alex and Jack and whoever is added to the Admin team.

Your breakfloor servers UK1 & UK2 have had some severe knock back on players playing on it, UK1 is empty most of the time and UK2 is sometimes populated by maybe a handful of players. I myself join UK2 from time to time to play some good ol' breakfloor. Like today I joined UK2 and played a bit, but at about 6:19 PM an admin on your server deemed it necessary to not only kick but ban me from the server. After I completely wiped the T team. There was a player present who was camping, I told him he should stop camping and he replied with the good ol' 'cry about it' and some other bullsh!t, so after I killed him and his team I typed /cry, just to point out who is actually crying, and straight after I got kicked and banned. Not sure if this was WF Redeem3r who was present on the server, or this person who was 'crying' was finding it necessary to kick and ban me. My attitude was not wrong towards anybody nor was it insulting or offense in any possible way. These ban happy admins and kick, slaying happy admins are probably the main reason that caused the major knock back of players on your breakfloor servers. I did not teamkill, camp or anything that is against the rules. I know that breakfloor can be a map with lots of players on it who do not keep themselves to the rules and start camping or teamkilling but I did not do anything of that sort, nor did the admin warn me. He just kicked and banned me. I would like to get unbanned, STEAM UserID STEAM_0:0:13130974. Because the reason I was banned is unclear and probably not even their.

I think you got banned by requestban. The probably requestbanned you and this results in an insta 2 hours ban.
I was there when you joined, but left about 10 seconds after it. I used ma_admins and the only admins on the server were redeemer (who can't ban) and me. Try joining again in 2 hours :)

Not that I can recall, it showed the usual disconnect, kicked and banned.
Anyways, I'm still banned on UK2. More than two hours passed, so what banned me and why?

If thats him then I knew it, he always got RB'd for hacking, Nato even banned him for supposedly hacking once. But I've never seen him hack, and when you have skills like iPwn's, why would you hack anyway?

What's with the font choice. It's really hard to read your original post. I'm sure you weren't hacking though :)
If you want to clean the servers of all those supposed admins who ban, kick and slay excessively all you've got to do is take a demo and post it. That way justice would be served for sure and you would play a part in helping our servers...

Bwahahah.. iPwn my old friend. Looks like I outdid you. I only lasted 2 minutes.. then boom! insta ban. :P

Seriously though, this new ban system is too vulnerable for abuse. People are simply banning everybody that annoys them, be it legit or not.

In my case I also wiped out the opposing team (who were spawn camping btw.).

Cheers!

This topic is a little old, but I think it has a valid point that's been left unattended.

I know both iPwn and Maggot Brain, and I'm pretty damn sure they'd never hack or break the rules. I'd stick with MB here on the vulnaribility of the RB system.

Is it okay that it's possible to ban people so easily? Lots of people who's just playing good are going to get banned by noobs who cant comprehend that some are better then them, just like these two cases. (MB and iPwn)

Then that's good, but that still doesnt adress the point, that innocent players will be banned

Haha yeah that's true. The new RB system has its good and bad sides.

However as far as i know only JAD has the power to unban people from the RB system. That means that people that get wrongly RB'ed will have to wait a few days to get unbanned which is a shame in my opinion.

Steam ID Removed From Banned.

If it happens again then I may put you in a temporary immunity group until the ban algorithm is updated.

That sounds like a very good solution. But then again people in the immunity group could then abuse the system.

Tricky question this is :)

Propably the system is best left as it is, though I belive it's too easy to give people more than a two hour ban.

It would only be temp.

There are some changes that we want to make, including a warning kick, change how points are calculated and an instant unban option for first time full bans :)

Sounds absolutely sweat Dave :)
Well thought of changes, that would make the RB system even more brilliant.

Hopefully it will reduce the amount of innocent bans.

Thanks for the headsup :)
