RequestBan (Ingame Online)

With immediate effect the old RequestBan system has been taken offline, and the new system provided by RequestBan.com brought online.

The new system brings new features to it including:

  • Instant Ingame Ban

If a user hits the threshold then they are banned from the server instantly. With this ban rights are going to be removed from mani in the next few weeks; so please use this.

    _
  • New Website

If you now believe you have been banned by RequestBan then please visit http://www.requestban.com/support and enter your steam id. It will tell you what servers you have been banned from and what options you have in terms of getting unbanned.
    _
_
RequestBan (Signups)

RequestBan is currently in beta and only enabled on the Wildfire Clan's servers, but we are expecting to finish the ingame testing within a week and open RequestBan to other clans in the next few weeks.

The feature list of the system will soon be published; however expect to see instant rcon ban from your servers using the web interface and account customization options.

There would be no point in keeping the mani ban. If a council member requests a ban using "!rb" ingame, then the user is instantly banned from the server and we then also have a record of it :)

Damn Dave, you're on a roll

EDIT: And just out of curiosity, does a normal member's request count more than just a random player's request? Just wondering :P

Wildfire members are immune from autobans in RequestBan. However if you was a vistor and the two people requesting were also visitors then there would be no autoban.

This is due to the the reputation of a vistor to the server is signifcantly less than a wildfire member.

I would really like to promote this on facepunch and other websites so it can gain popularity. When will this be available to the public?

We were looking to go public this weekend, however this is looking unlikely now; so the site will be updated to reflect a release date of the 26th July.

I think there is a glitch today me and waltor wanted to ban 2 campers and we both requestbanned the same to people but everytime we did it, it gave us an error saying that we had already vote banned that person today for both people. Needless to say no one was requestbanned.

Members are immune from RequestBan until they are removed from the clan.
