Hi guys,
As I said at the end of the last election, I have created a new forum for the council's discussions to take place. All Councillor discussion on the forum should now take place there.
To avoid unnecessary drama, I'm not going to open up the existing forum, but I will move any topic from the old forum to the new at the request of the councillors. For the same reason, I have also created a sub-forum so that the councillors can discuss issues pertaining to individual members without drama, however I urge councillors to use this sparingly and to post a summary in the public forum on completion of the dabate.
If you have any comments or suggestions, I'd like to hear them.
Council discussions now viewable by members

Ok I concede I'm a bit confused. Are we going to be able to still have a subforum for archived proposals? Because that was helpful. And what about the away forum, is that going to be moved or are we done with it?

Well so long as they use it sparingly I'll avoid creating drama... but if a proposal is like the last one, it should not be kept secret.
EDIT: I see that normal members can rate topics! Very nice, what better way to get feedback other than PMs. Brilliant.

I foresee the private forum being used primarily for things that have to do with disciplinary actions towards current clan members. If we removed that forum, councillors would be foreced to use xfire or the pm system to get their ideas across, since it's unrealistic to have a debate about punishments for someone if they can see that debate.

It probably would have been easier to show the councilor forum and then hide or unhide topics.
