CSP is a mix of CS. 16 and CS: S.
i think the game is good, but i like CS: S better

I played it a few times and it really failed.
They wanted to make a mixture of cs 1.6 and cs:s. Graphics from cs:s and engine+gameplay from cs 1.6.
It failed. Gaphics were really bad and there were soo many bugs. For example, half of the server spawned in buildings, I couldn't buy any weapons or ammo. Had to own all the other players with glock@20 bullets (what I did of course )
They wanted to implement it more, but after they released the first beta version I never heard of it again.

As I said before, many people complained about the gameplay in Cs:s (you know like hitboxes as huge as houses etc.) which is much better in cs 1.6. But the people prefer cs:s because of the graphics (which really suck in cs 1.6 ) so they (valve(?)) tried to make a "new" cs called CS Promod, with 1.6 gameplay and source graphics.

A load of idiots decided they could create a better Counter-strike than the CS team at Valve because they were "competitive" gamers.

Promod is a mod made for a mod. Basically its a mod for CSS that blends the gameplay stylee of 1.6 with Source graphics and engine. http://www.cspromod.com/ Their website has been down for younks.

For all the people bashing. They totally scrapped the beta they released and are in another closed beta that's actually really good. I think it's awesome, cause as most people know source is dead competitively. An article on the most recent promod on gotfrag
