I played it after you trotted off last night. The end is really good, but that was 3 changes of clothes later.

Fear 1 was some crazy ######, at the beginning when you change ur view and the little girls like jumping through the shadows for the first time... and the fecking hallway when everything goes all freakish = Scary as feck
I downloaded the demo off PSN a couple days ago and....

lets just say that as soon as I launched the game, it was brown trousers time

I have only demo version and because I have ATI cards I have some freezes like 2 in 1 min play for 1 sec or so but FEAR 2 have some big bad points :

1: No Anticheat or dedicated servers for multiplayer.

2: Not able to bind mouse 4 and mouse 5.

3: 16:9 aspect ratio, but where the hell is 16:10?!?

4: No save feature, no quicksave, only auto save feature. Pretty much, only 1 save slot - period.

5: Glowing enemies? Seriously, slow motion wasn't enough?

6: Amateur shadow work. Dropped the ball there, badly.

7: Glass breaks in a LESS realistic way than Fear 1 (EXTREMELY noticeable in slow-mo)

8: No real time reflections (if there are, there were not on any of the puddles or anything I inspected)

9: Camera clips through your own player's shoulders very frequently, melee animations are not as good as Fear 1.

10: Despite being advertised as "Games for Windows Live" it does not have any 360 controller support, that is actually part of the live certification, and expected to be supported.

11: Only select objects have physics applied. A majority of the world is fixed in place, unlike FEAR 1 where virtually everything was interact-able.

12: I would say it has bad hit detection, but rather I ask "What hit detection?"

13: Enemy AI seems more predictable and easier to deal with. Sometimes flipping potted plants over for "cover" completely breaking immersion and reminding you that they are just dumb AI.

14: In addition to AI taking cover behind things that are far too small to take cover behind, they are just stupid in general as well.

15: Some copies have "Enhanced for 64 bit" on the back of the box, yet there is no 64 bit support.

16: Some copies have "Enhanced for Direct X 10" on the back of the box, but there is no Direct X 10, nor do they plan to add it. False advertising abound!

17: Lack of dynamic shadows

so Im not buying full version till thoes freezes will go away :)

Not that FEAR2 is a bad game, but it's definitely going in the wrong direction when you compare it to the first game.

16:9 is the universal standard for high-def video. If they're going for a more cinematic experience, which they do seem to be, 16:9 is the obvious choice.

Besides, the difference is so small I doubt you'd really notice, its only a slight morphing.

Hey I dont know why but overall i didn't like it. Lets me clarify

the ambiance fantastic and from the demo what little of the story seems good, however the game while being good felt like, walk along small group of bad guys walk along medium group of bad guys walk along large group....

Anyone else agree???

and the weapons aren't right...dont know why just feels like a bad combo

I find myself cowering in the corner with the shotgun shooting anything that moves while playing this. I have to play this on the toilet so avoid mess.

I just played through the demo, and I must admit that it was crap. It didn't even scare once and the ghosts etc were just very annoying.

$10 says he played it in a brightly lit room in the middle of the day. Try playing it at 3am with no lights.

You're lieing. No way could an 11 year old play through that and not get freaked out or jump. Especially when it makes a couple of 20 year olds jump.
