It's simply enough one of those reasons that makes the PS3 better.

The only thing people care about is getting as much as friends as possible on the internet, they only want to show off for others.
Computers/modern communication systems overtook socialism as it is now. Well, e-mail and for example WLM is fine, you can chat with people like you would be really talking, but why do people prefer to choose for facebook? Where it takes much longer to get an answer?
The answer that I came up with myself, and what I think is the answer is that everyone that uses facebook (or hyves in the netherlands) is talking to someone else's friend because they have the feeling that other people are watching them. So in that way the person chatting with a friend on such a website thinks that other people are interested in his life. In that way this person will start to show off with photoshopped/tuned up pics of himself, and talking in a way like the whole world is interested in them.
That.Is.What.Screws.Up.Friendships.

I use facebook primarily for looking at peoples pictures. I add a family member on Facebook - They upload pictures, I see there holiday pictures. 'nuff said. It's also like sending a mass chain mail to everyone you know everytime you post something on your own "wall". Apart from, you've got the nice interface of the Facebook homepage to go with it.. and the ability to use the inbuilt chat function and picture viewing with it. It's just a great multifunctioning system. Imagine MSN, Hotmail.com and your Picture Folder all put in one place. That's all it is.
(yeh, I know some people abuse it.. but 80% of people use it like you're ment to)
But yes, imo Bebo is the one where people go on it to get the most friends and "luv". But really, facebook isn't all that bad.
Edit: Ontopic, i'm still an Xbox fanboi.
Edit 2: If MAG isn't laggy, i might consider buying a PS3 just for that game.

technically it is a long time away, if we've already past it, we'll have to wait for a couple quadrillion years until the universe destroys itself and time is repeated...
that is if that's true anyway 0.0
