What games have dissapointed you in 2008, and which games that are completely hyped, do you expect to fail EPICLY!

For me I think that Haze was a total and complete piece of sh*t. I bought it, played it, sat in the corner and cried, that game was so very lame. I also think that Spore was a massive anticlimax, It could have been such an awesome game, however they failed on that also, atleast the creator is epic.

The game I expect to completely fail is Killzone 2. I think this game has had massive hyope and will probably be pretty lame. I know the graphics will rule, but I really am tired of console FPSes and I think the trailer showed it to be distinctly average. Any thoughts?

I expect the other versions of Halo (Wars, Recon etc.) will fail because no one will be addicted to them as they will with the halo story.

Fifa street 3 was absolutely FAIL. The characters were weird, it wasn't even close to Fifa street (the first one) and I hated it.

Call Of Duty World At War: FAIL! All that happened in the game was taken from movies and such.
When you are russian and begins in the fountain and then snipes some evil germans is directly taken from the movie "Enemy At The Gates"

When you can hit the mortar grenades to a rock and throw them like a grenade - Saving Private Ryan

When you sneak around with the other russian dude and hunts another evil german and then you snipe him - Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, when you assasinate Imran Zakhaev.

A god damn part of the game where you take part as a gunner in an aircraft - Call Of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, Death From Above

The japanese soldiers appear from nowhere during a lightning - We Were Soldiers

The sounds in the game was just awful.

It was filled with bugs.

IT FAILED HARD and want my money back.

What will dissapoint me, all Nintendo games ofc. They are all the same. But I also think that Just Cause 2 will cause a massive dissapointment all over the world. The first one was totally okey but come on, it was not that good so it deserved a sequel. Sure, they got some time to make the game but I think it will be like many other games. A frikin sweet start and after a while it all goes to hell with a ######ty lame a*s story. Something like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. It all started so good with that you have to save your hood and then they all betray you and it ends with a lame car chase and some explosions. I want a game with a good story all the way thru the game and Just Cause 2 will probably not deliver it.

I personally liked GOW2, it was a great game and I'm glad I rented it and beat it. However.. the thing was FULL OF BUGS. FULL OF'EM. The last thing you need in that game is to glitch into some hovering position while there's this gigantic monster eating your small boat. So frustrating at times. On the topic of stealing, GOW2's ending was stolen by metal gear solid, where the dude talks at the end in the dark and leaves room for a GOW3. Totally not cool
I figure they make GOW2 and COD4 like that so they wear out quicker, so the disks need to be replaced more often. It's not like people are just going to rent the games from stores and switch the disks...

Disappointing games of 2008:Spore!,Alone in the Dark...,Haze,Star Wars: The Force Unleashed,Too Human,Call of Duty: World at War, and probably a lot more that I can't think of right now.
Games that will Fail in 2009:Halo wars,Duke Nukem Forever if it actually comes out,Dark Void, and others
I don't think Killzone 2 will completely fail like you said but it won't be great.

Halo Wars will fail MASSIVELY!

I played the demo and I was in the tutorial and it was so boring I didn't even finish the tutorial.
I dread to think what the actual game is like.

Halo 3:ODST will fail like Halo 3 failed. After Halo 2 came out I lost all hope in the series. They changed the game too much. WAY too much.

Hawk, I think you are mistaken. Halo failed after the first game. The first game was cool, kinda new. Finally a good FPS on a console. But Halo 2 and 3 are the same. Run - kill - run - kill- drive - kill - run - kill - kill more - END

You are epically right, but I think the story line does help drive you out of the killing, the story line is like the jeep youve been attatched to as you're being dragged through a cactus infested desert. I must say, I enjoyed the plasma swords and the ending of 3 when your driving through the collapsing halo.

Thats what I said, after the second game came out and I played H2, I realized the game wasn't the same anymore. They just changed too much of it.

That was like the awesomest mission I ever played in all games. (Not the sniping only, but the way how to get into that hotel to assassinate him )

Thats just how todays WW2 games want us to look at the germans back then. That they all were evil nazi men. I failed to show my opinion I guess. I hate it when they do portray the germans like that. They were no more evil than the brits or yanks.

Semph, sure the nazis did kill many innocent. But sovjet killed at least 3 times more innocents. But think about it...the brits and yanks killed people and so did the germans. It does no matter if its a soldier or civilian. In the end, they all did what they had to do. Follow orders.
