When it comes to the matter of having open microphones on our servers, I support it.
I think that not only is it more fun to be able to socialize with people through voice and not only text, but it's a lot more convinient as well.
As with everything in this world there are both cons or pros, but usually one of them are superior. In this case I'd say there's more pros than cons. Let's make a short list:
Pros:
Easier and more convinient communication while playing.
More personal way of communication.
The server will get a whole other community (In a better way IMO)
Cons:
You will always have the kids and the retards using it to ###### up.
Some say it is a con not being able to properly hear what happens around you
That is a short list of the first cons and pros I can think of. Now when it comes to the cons they're possible to avoid. Let's start with the first one. The ######kids. You can 1. Mute them, but also 2. add another rule about abusing the in game voicechat, being similiar to the other rules when it comes to punishment.
When it comes to the second con, there's not really much you can do about it, other than adjusting the audioe settings, however I don't really see this as a big problem. I often play whilst being on skype etc, and I still have no problem playing normally.
I'm not writing this because I want you to allow in-game voice on the servers, it's just what I thoughts about the matter.
in-game voice
