I didnīt found this suggestion anywhere so iīm going to post it.
to make the adminīs job easier when a new player come in-game before he play it could appear the rules and then 1-accept(press key 1) and 2-dont accept and leave the server(press key 2).After this once they are in the server they need to know the rules and if they dont follow them , they are punished with this the admins dont need to say all the times the rules when a new player gets in and when there are no admins they know the rules too. This is just a suggestion :P .Hope you like it! :)

In my opinion, this would be a great addon, but It wont avoid completely that people are camping, TKing and so on ;)

I think that we should still remind offenders of the rules before banning them. Not only that, we shouldn't ever insta-ban a person unless they are blatantly hacking or other high priority offences. Things like camping, trenching, and yes, even team killing can sometimes be corrected by just a simple slap or slay. Some people are new to the map and they don't know that by shooting out the floor under their team mates is considered team killing.

Eh, even we did have the rules in the MOTD, people normally just hit enter right away to start playing(I know I do...), with this suggestion, they would have to select accept or decline before being able to join. TBH if we really wanted, we could even have them accept each rule individually, this would further prevent offenders from entering the server.

No, it won't, but it should help, and it will give us more leverage when we do ban someone, (ie, they can't come back and say they didn't know :P )

Can anyone supply a link to this mod? I will put it on my server if someone posts a link, I just haven't got time to go searching for it.

This is a good idea... but how can you prevent players from just skipping the rules and pressing the "1" button?

well, if they press 1, they promised that they read the rules. there is written that you arenīt allowed to play on the this server without reading and accepting the rules. if they didnīt they anyway arenīt "allowed" on our server. of course that is very strict, but itīs a good argument when someone is complaining about getting punished.

I would really love to see this on the servers, it would definitely make the job of being a server admin a lot easier. For instance, sometimes you wont even notice that a certain player just entered the server and hasn't been told the rules yet, and then when you take action against said player, you are attacked by that player and half the others because you aren't "doing your job" correctly. If this was added (preferably one where they would have to click through each individual rule), then they would never be able to complain about it again, at least, they couldn't make a viable case out of it anymore, since we could just say "Hey, you had to click through it when you entered the server, it's not our fault that you just went right on through it without reading any of it".

Why not? A suggestion needs to have a decision, not be left to rot. Some of these really should be revived IMO.
