The gameround begins

After a few seconds the WF member (with kick only) dies
Then, after 3:30, player noob is camping
But because the WF member is dead, he cannot warn the camper, and can either choose to kick him immediatly, or wait for next round and warn him. The problem is, if you warn him, then you will just say this by normal chat. This means the player might even not see the warning, or he considers the WF member unimportant and continues.
The global admin speak works in such a way that the warning is ment serious. Hard to explain, but i bet you know where I am talking about.

I'm just saying that when you are spectator or dead, you cannot warn people who are violating the rules.

For example, campers (not in spawn) cannot be warned, and then you have this decision again.
It's dumb to warn someone when a new round already has started. Might sound silly, but it really is.

So I am asking, could we also get global admin speak to improve the rule enforcing?
It's would be very usefull to be able to warn people when you are not ''in-game''

But after stating the rules you are allowed to kick him and if he comes back and camps again keep kicking him until he doesn't come back.
basically a poor admins ban. :D

A poor admins ban lol.. :D

Global admin speak would be great but I dont think that JAD will give it. I think they should give it to most active and responsible members. But, JAD knows what they are doing if they're not drunk.

I fell the same "frustration" as Axwell... It would be great.. But if it were given to the right people! (The ones who do not abuse it)

Also as Alkku says "to most active and responsible members."

of course global admins speak is very usefull.
but i remember the times when everyone from captain and above had this admin speak.
the full chat was spammed of messages in admin speak, which is/was very annoying.
also many people were spamming the chat with warnings although nobody was breaking rules and it was really annyoing when you play a nice game with nice people on a server, then some noobadmin (sry for this word, but most of the admins are) appears, spams everything with warnings and the nice gaming atmosphere is destroyed.

The reason I've been told why Members don't have the admin "green talk" is become some don't use it appropriately. (ie, spaming it, always talking in it for no reason, ect.)

However, once the council is completed, we will be able to put this up to debate and maybe fix the problem ;)

There was a reason most of us did that. I for one did it because I wanted to be sure everyone was clear on the rules and that they were aware they would be punished for not following them.

(p.s thanks for making me visitor not member :D )

lol Elite. I didn't remove you, and I don't know who did, but if I had to guess I think it would have been one of the Supervisors that removed you during the little "clean up party" Dave threw one day a while back. We were all told to only remove people that weren't seen on the forums and on the servers for a month or two... So you either were removed for no reason, removed for what we thought was inactivity, or idk what else lol. Sadly the admin cp doesn't allow me to view the removed bin, so I can't look at your member report of who removed you and why :(
PM Alex, Jack, or Dave and they will set you back up if you want to be back in and if you will be active/semi-active again ;) (they should put you right back in unless you were removed for a different reason that is bad or what not :P )

Anywhoo, back on topic....

Really, I don't think we really need to discuss this anymore, unless you guys want to discuss possible ranks and admin structures for the new clan layout.

To be honest I think we should just start a new topic for possible ranks and admin structures and put this topic in the archive :P

I haven't really even begun to put some time, effort and brainpower into thinking up a rank structure yet lol :P

There is a very simple solution to this.

Just DO NOT die, like I do.. Get your skills up learn to play so you stay alive longer than a few seconds because I have seen some [WF]'s and [WF App]'s die within the first few seconds of the game without the enemy having a greater advantage, with that I mean they've got worse weapons and worse teammates still you guys find a way to get killed whether is by the enemies weapon or just blatantly shooting yourself down to the brown floor and 1 grenade will do the rest. Seriously when I play camping is not a big deal I rush/engage the enemy in numerous ways whether its head-on, open/flash/nuke the sh*t out of the enemy or through the glitch most of the time I get it done and if I get killed by someone in his spawn at 2:15 or whatever I don't start tripping and kick him out or spam the f*ck out of him when I'm back alive for all you know he got back for ammo. What I'm trying to say here is when you get killed by someone that is in his own spawn after the 3:30 time line it does not mean he is camping and if you see the person camping because you spectate him and see him static camping in spawn then the next round you'll address him by his/her name and tell him its against the rules and there are consequences they listen better if you do that instead of spamming your bind which they'll probably don't see/read just address the person till you get a response explain and take action if necessary.

Those are my few cents,

~iPwn

Axwell: Firstly, I would like to tell you that I am in favor of everyday members having global admin speak. I have supported that from the getgo of the removal of ranks.

However, there are two reason why this is not going to happen right now.

1. The Council is about to be elected. Once they are, it will be their duty to modify some of our rules that they do not agree with. When they discuss admin abilities, I'm sure this idea will be in the mix.

2. Once the Council is elected, I believe a large majority of the prospective members feel that we should re-institue some ranking structure into Wildfire. If that occurs, we may well create different levels of admin for different ranks. If not, we will re-evaluate this issue.

You definitely have a valid argument. However, this just isn't a good time to deal with it, since our current hierarchy is about to change.

I am currently going to close this thread, since there is no point in discussing it further until we have a council and they are ready to consider changes. At that point either this topic will be reopened or the council will create a new thread.

There is no reason to abandon discussion just because the council is about to come in. Your attitude towards the council is starting to disturb me, Eagleye. You're very hasty to shut down public discussion. This action and your earlier post in the sups only forum about wanting to revoke the nominations of some of the less established members isn't very good for somebody who is currently in power. It'll only serve to alienate yourself from the general membership.

That's what I thought also. But do we have need to discuss about this anymore? I think it's JADs decision now.

And no Cover, we don't. It's like "@@ Coverfire The cake is a lie." so only you see that message "The cake is a lie.". You can talk to anyone on the server like that, doesn't matter if you're dead or alive.

Huh? Did you delete this thread or something because I can't find any except this one, and it is just me asking for people's opinions. Personally, I see a big difference between asking opinions of sups and saying the other members don't deserve spots on the council. There's a big difference between the two.

As far as my attitude towards the council, my decision to close this thread would not change if the council was about to be created.

In a minute I found two separate suggestion forum threads that concerned global clan admin abilities, that I declined.
I did not decline them because of the council, but rather because the issue had been brought up multiple times from all parts of the clan and the answer was always the same- no. I simply changed my post slightly, saying that this would be brought up with the new council.

I have to go now so I might edit this later tomorrow. However, I would appreciate if you would in the future, if you have any problems/concerns with my actions, pm me instead of posting in the public forums.

I think those topics don't really have complete relevance to this one seeing as they were made on earlier dates in which changes that are in place weren't in place on that particular date, and also that this is focusing directly upon admin chat rather than increased admin ability for the members: which they have now, contrary to the dates those topics were posted.

The concern with releasing admin chat to all members is that it might be abused. As far as I'm concerned, the only reason everyone in this clan doesn't have full and complete admin is because it could be abused, whether the abuser means it or not. If everyone had admin chat inexperienced members (that don't mean any harm) may abuse the chat in many ways, and new members who actually mean ill could abuse it in many other ways too. Even veterans could abuse it once they have it. If we wanted to single people out and give it to them we would still have ranks: and we don't for previously explained reasons.
